• AlSharqia Chamber and the Ministry of Finance organized a workshop on the change management project for the government competition and procurement system

    ​Asharqia Chamber in cooperation with the Ministry of Finance organized a workshop on the change management project for the government competition and procurement system on Tuesday 8 October 2019 at the Chamber's headquarters.​

    ​The workshop, which was inaugurated by Board Member and Chairman of the Industry and Energy Committee Ibrahim bin Mohammed Al Sheikh, reviewed the most important initiatives and ideas that will be part of the new system.​

    Al-Sheikh said during the workshop, which was attended by Eng. Mohammed Al-Omar, Advisor to the Center for Efficiency of Spending Efficiency and Abdul Aziz Al-Subaihi from the Local Content Authority and Mishari Al-Obaid, Legal Advisor to the Center for Efficiency of Spending Efficiency. The new government competition and procurement system and its materials and items aim to regulate the procedures related to government works and procurement and to prevent the exploitation of influence and influence of personal interests therein, in order to protect the public money and promote Fairness, competition, and equality and provide fair treatment among competitors​.

    AlSheikh pointed to the UAE's great interest in programs to achieve financial balance and manage financial resources efficiently and efficiently, as it actively sought to promote the values ​​of competition, transparency, and integrity in accordance with the best practices in force globally in all competition procedures and government procurement.

    Al-Sheikh said: The new government competition and procurement system is a response to the new developments witnessed by the national economy at various levels and in line with the most important contents of the Kingdom's Vision 2030; It achieves our targets for local content and national industry.​
